Champion Stories

Maria studiert an der TU Dresden

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
First, I would like to present myself. My name is Maria Walther. I came from Russia and lived in Dresden, Germany since October 2004. At the first time it was very difficult for me to understand German, but I have given it my best and now I can speak and write in German very well.
In year 2010 I have decided to take a part in the LMI course “The Making of a Champion” in Dresden. At the beginning I was a little bit skeptical about it, but attending the first meetings, I was fascinated with every topic we discussed, and was intrigued by our coach. He told about important items which every winner should have. For example, he should be trustful und keep his outcome in mind. Moreover, we learned interesting and new materials by playing. Because of this, the project was interesting and exciting.
One year of my life`s journey was accompanied by this project. And I have no regrets about my decision taking part in it. Now I have a steady weekly schedule. I study desired subjects - political science and Slavic- at the Technical University in Dresden. More than that, I have an internship in the Russian society “Omnibus” and concurrently time for my friends and my family. One year earlier it was impossible.
I hope, that the new members of “The Making of a Champion” have got fun doing it and will have new necessary experiences for their life!
